The Shivah is an adventure game in which you are a Jewish rabbi who has been accused of murder, after a member of his congregation leaves him a considerable amount of money. The rabbi refuses to accept the money and starts searching for the truth behind this case. The game features a point-and-click gameplay full of witty dialogs, in which you can actually choose your own responses. You will wander across the city talking to people and collecting clues that lead you to the truth. Sometimes, you will also have to fight your enemies in order to get the necessary information to proceed. In this game, you can actually choose your own ending out of the three available options.
The controls are simple, you just use your mouse to click on different parts of the scene to interact with the objects or characters. There are no hints or help whatsoever, so you must figure the game out completely by yourself.
The graphics are really poor and the window to play is very reduced. The theme is also not very attractive, and if you are not Jewish, probably there will be lots of things that you won´t understand.
The game is original though, but it has nothing impressive or salient that would make me suggest you try it. There are plenty of better adventure games out there with more interesting themes and better graphics.
